Lawn owners and professional lawn care operators alike will be glad to see the back of 2018! Think back to the coldest, longest and wettest winter running into early spring, then the sudden improvement in May when gardens and lawns finally sprung into life and growth. Who could have thought that the driest summer since almost forever (even 1976) would ensue? That period really stressed the grass turning it dormant. Then, some rain and guess what the weeds took over thanks to their broader roots winning the battle for moisture over the finer grass roots, they are currently monopolising the bare areas.
Yes it’s been a tough year.
So better days ahead and we in the business of professional lawn care are optimistic that we have learnt a volume of knowledge from this year and will be prepared for….just about anything in 2019!
